Strategy
Considering the Rudin House is Made Mostly of Concrete, i have decided to develop a texture inwhich the concrete has been left and moss/algey has grown and taken over. The Invasion of moss acts like a sort of extra stregth so most of my model is still intact, However after so many years of of corrosion and weathering parts of the building will start to fall off.
Material Study
WIth Rudin house, I noticed most of the house is made of slabs of pre cast concrete. My Main Material is CONCRETE.
They way concrete corrodes all has to do with the thickness of the slab and how far the reinforced steel is to the outer edge of the slab. If done properly, Majority of the slab will stay intact, but bits and pieces may start to crack due to the build up of volumninous.
Cover thickness
Cover thickness is the distance between concrete surface and the reinforcement, which is the nearest to this surface. It is determined after taking into account the required mechanical properties. According to some regulations, its minimum value depends on the exposure class and on the type of structure (structure class).
Most often, steel corrosion occurs when the cover thickness is too thin.
